Intarsia by Big Bob

I was born and raised in Lacombe Alberta. I moved to Terrace in 1972 with my parents and have never looked back. I have always been interested in working with wood. I always liked playing around with tools or wood. In the year 2000 I saw some intarsia on display in a local business. I was very taken aback by the detail and by the variety of wood used and the effect of it all when put together. Since then I have cut out and assembled over thirty scroll or intarsia pieces. I love the way the grains come out in the different woods as you work with them. The different woods with the different designs make it very exciting to watch the designs grow before your eyes. I turn up my music in my shop and tune out the rest of the world and let the stress drift away.
